Statement on data protection We place great importance on the safe handling of your personal data. The protection of your data submitted and the correct use of such data obtains top priority for us. As a matter of course we act strictly in compliance with the German Data Protection Act as well as the German Telemediengesetz. Therefore we would like to give you a closer understanding of the process of data storage and its subsequent use. This Data Privacy Policy does not apply to links to other websites owned by third parties not being part of the uvex group of companies. 1. Data acquisition Personal data will only be stored in case you voluntarily submit it within the scope of a purchase contract or by filling in the contact form. We use your personal data submitted without your express approval solely for the purpose of the fulfilment and processing of your order. After complete execution of the contract and full payment of the purchase price your data will be blocked for further use and deleted as soon as tax-based and commercial-law-based safekeeping periods are expired provided that you gave no express approval in a further use. This website uses etracker technology (www.etracker.com) to collect visitor behavior data. The data is collected anonymously to be used for marketing and optimization purposes and is stored on servers in Hamburg/Germany. All visitor data is saved using an anonymous user ID and can be used to aggregate a usage profile. Cookies may be used for this purpose. Cookies are small text files that are stored in the visitor’s local browser cache. Using such cookies it is possible to recognize the visitor’s browser. The data collected via etracker technology will not be used to determine the personal identity of the website visitor or compiled with personal data pertaining to the user of the pseudonym unless agreed to separately by the person concerned. The collection and storage of data may be revoked at any time with respect to subsequent services. Data processing Personal data which you submitted by email or through our website will solely be used for correspondence with you and is exclusively processed for the purpose you intended when submitting the data, i.e. for the purpose of your workshop participation. Submitted data will be only forwarded to the departments in charge, if necessary to other companies being part of the uvex group of companies. Where applicable your payment data will be forwarded to an appointed credit institution. We assure not to forward your personal data to third parties except for legal requirements. 3. Data storage Submitted data will be stored until the purpose for which you disclosed it is served. Should regulatory safekeeping periods exist such periods will be observed. 4. Cookies Cookies are small text files which are transferred to the hard disk of your computer via your web browser. Cookies are transferred for reasons of controlling the connection or to provide you with more individual comfort during the visit of our website. We currently use “non-persistent session cookies” which means that the cookies will be deleted when you close your browser and therewith end the session. Claim regarding disclosure, correction, blocking or deletion Pursuant to the German Data Protection Act you may at any time claim for disclosure of the data stored with regard to yourself as well as claim for the correction, blocking or deletion of your data. Whenever your personal data changes we will amend the stored data as soon as you inform us. In case you do not longer agree with the storage of your personal data we will delete it on first demand provided that the storage is not required by law. Please be so kind as to contact our Data Protection Officer in writing with regard to disclosure, correction, blocking or deletion claims. 7. Amendment of the Data Privacy Policy We expressly reserve the right to alter this Policy. In case of a launch of new products, changes of our internet presence, amendments to the statutory regulations or enhancements of the IT safety technology, this Data Privacy Policy will be amended. Therefore it is recommended that you regularly visit our website to be updated. 8.
